Cylindrical gBat fuse, 22x58, 600VDC

DF Electric gBat 22x58 cylindrical fuse links are specially designed to protect battery systems
according to the Standard IEC60269-7.

They are capable to clearing all types of overcurrent, overload and short-circuits, thus the fuse links protect the batteries as well as cables and all switchgear of installation.

These fuse links are designed and manufactured with the same techniques that semiconductor fuse links, which makes them very fast of operation in case of short-circuit and gives a good performance under continuous charge/discharge cycles.

They are optimized to have reduced power dissipations that allow the utilization in a wide range of fuse bases, disconnectors and fuse-switch-disconnectors.

Important note on protection components selection:
Fuse and breaker current rating is not the same as your normal operating current. For continuous loads, choose a fuse or breaker with a higher current rating than the load so it does not run too close to its limit. A heavily loaded protective device may cause false trips, excessive heat, reduced lifespan and less safety margin. For DC circuits roughly 25% overhead is a good rule of thumb. If the system has an operating current of 20A, go for a 25A protective device. 25A = 30/32A, 30A = 40A, 50A = 63A and so on.
